Our Story

Olawale “Wale” OIawoyin moved from Lagos, Nigeria to Bowie, Maryland in 2004.  While adjusting to his new life in the United States, he discovered his strong interest for technology after he took apart and rebuilt his family’s house computer. In 10th  grade, Wale found himself spending more time assisting the high school’s computer technician than learning in class. Within one year, Wale built his first computer from scratch. While attending Howard University’s School of Business, Wale launched Champion Studio and dedicated all of his free time and energy to building his company.

Mary was born and raised in Bowie, Maryland with her sister Ryan. She attended The Catholic University of America to study her two passions: Spanish and Media Communications. After a year of searching for the perfect job, Mary spontaneously decided to follow her passion and move to South America. She spent two months traveling throughout Argentina and Chile while practicing her Spanish and expanding her cultural knowledge.  Upon her return, she began working for Champion Studio and Voice of America- Latin American Division in Washington, D.C. as a Television and Internet producer.

Wale and Mary’s creative journey began in 2016 when they met by happenstance at a local Bowie church. Since then, they have been working side by side every day to bring Champion Studio to its full potential.
